Kia Soul EV: SRSCM / Front Impact Sensor (FIS) Description and Operation
The Front Impact Sensors (FIS) are installed in the Front End
Module (FEM). These remote sensors are used to detect acceleration due
to a collision at the mounting location.
The primary purpose of the Front Impact Sensor (FIS) is to
provide an indication of a collision. The Front Impact Sensor (FIS)
sends acceleration data to the SRSCM.
Removal

Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
2.
Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning to work.

Turn ignition OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

Remove the floor console assembly.(Refer to Body - “Floor console assembly")
3.
Disconnect the EPB control unit mounting nuts and then remove EPB control unit.
Tighten torque:
