Kia Soul EV: Airbag Module / Side Airbag (SAB) Module Description and Operation
The Side Airbags (SAB) are installed inside the front seat to
protect the driver and front passenger from danger when side crash
occurs. The SRSCM determines deployment of side airbag by using Side
Impact Sensor (SIS) signal.

Never attempt to measure the circuit resistance of the airbag
module (squib) even with a specified tester as measuring circuit
resistance with a tester may result in accidental airbag deployment that
leads to serious personal injury. |

Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least thirty seconds before beginning to work.
